TOPIC: Repair of Cast Iron for Rotating Equipment

Cast iron is widely used in industrial rotating equipment due to a combination of properties like strength & durability, damping capability, machinability, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness.  Although cast iron is robust, it is brittle and prone to cracking under impact or thermal stress. Repairs are often necessary when cracks, fractures, or wear occur.  In this presentation, we will discuss various repair methods for cast iron.
