The presentation aims to provide an overview of recent development work that has resulted in the safe operational pressure of Double Dry Gas Seals being increased from 435 psi to 1160 psi. This work has also resulted in the development of a zero emission Dry Gas Seal solution, allowing double dry gas seals to replace existing tandem seals which emit harmful gases to the atmosphere. The presentation will explore the pre-existing operational issues surrounding Double Dry Gas Seals, how these issues were mitigated and how their use can align with current and future environmental legislation.
Attendees will gain an insight into the least common Dry Gas Seal design and an understanding of how it's use can assist with emission reduction with minimal changes to existing equipment & operations.
