Centrifuges - Adding Value With High-Speed Separation

  • Steve Chwyl, VP - Technical Services & Products, Allied Industrial Dynamics

In 2006, while in high school, Steve entered the registered apprentice program (RAP) working on oilfield equipment and learning the basics of rotating equipment. By 2011 he received his red seal endorsement from the province of Alberta and started to specialize in API rotating equipment. In 2012 he became a freelance contractor and started working the shutdown circuit as well as consulting for OEMs. He eventually made his way to an end-user role as the rotating equipment specialist before returning to entrepreneurship with Allied Industrial Dynamics where he now develops their people and service offerings. Steve also is a proud member of RATS and contributes to the group with marketing and hosts the Calgary sessions.
